Emotionally Focused couples therapy (EFT): building a stronger connection Longing for less conflict and a stronger connection with your partner? Emotionally Focused couples therapy (EFT) is an attachment based, structured and process-oriented approach to couples therapy. EFT helps couples to get their disputes under control and create safety in their relationship, making it possible to enhance or repair their emotional bond. It has been extensively researched and consistently shown to produce good results for the last 15 years. Studies find that more than 7 out of 10 couples treated with EFT move from distress to recovery and approximately 9 out of 10 show significant improvements. Its outstanding success has been heralded in many scientific journals, professional magazines and media such as the New York Times and Psychology Today. Watch Dr. Sue Johnson talking about EFT:
